India finish 4th in women's world chess


India finished 4th after losing their last round against champions China 1.5-2.5 in the 2011 world women's chess team championship.

India were placed fourth, though they tied with Ukraine on 11 points behind Russia (second) and Georgia (third).
In the China-India match, three games ended in draws and Zhao Xue defeated Tania Sachdev on the third board.
Final standings:
1. China (16 points), 2. Russia (13), 3. Georgia (12), 4-5. India and Ukraine (11), 6-7. Armenia and Vietnam (9 points), 8. Greece (5), 9. Turkey (4); 10. South Africa (0).
