7 Indian boxers qualify for 2012 London Olympics


Following 7 Indian Boxers Qualify for 2012 London Olympics(July 27- Aug 12,2012)in the Asian Olympic Qualifiers semifinals in Astana, Kazakhstan on Wednesday April 11,2012


1)Shiva Thapa 18 Years (56kg) had become the youngest Indian boxer to make the cut for London 2012 when he reached the final by beating Japan's Satoshi Simizu 31-17

2) Vijender Singh (75 kg)











3)L Devendro Singh (49kg)










4) Jai Bhagwan (60kg)









5)Manoj Kumar (64kg)










6) Vikas Krishan (69kg) and












7)Sumit Sangwan(81kg)










giving India its biggest ever presence at the Games.
L Devendro Singh (49kg), Jai Bhagwan (60kg), Manoj Kumar (64kg) and Vikas Krishan (69kg) -- had already booked their berths for 2012 London Olympics in last year's World Championships.
