Qutub Minar(Delhi,India)


Qutub Minar was constructed with red sandstone and marble, and is the tallest minaret in India(with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8 ft), contains 379 stairs to reach the top)

The construction of Qutub Minar was commenced by Qutb-ud-din Aibak(Turkic descent from Central Asia was the 1st Sultan of Delhi and founder of the Ghulam Dynasty of India and ruled for only four years from 1206 to 1210 AD) in 1192 and completed by Iltumish(a slave of  Qutb-ud-din Aibak and later became his son-in-law and close lieutenant was the 3rd ruler of the Mamluk Dynasty of Delhi during 1211-1236)
