Michael Clarke,becomes Australia's Highest Test Run-Scorer in a Calendar Year(2012)


Michael Clarke,the Australia captain became the 1st batsman to score 4 double centuries in a calendar year when he took a single off Imran Tahir late on the first day at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday Nov 22,2012( 2nd Test Match against South Africa) His 200 came off 226 balls and featured 35 boundaries and a six.
At close of play on Day1,Australia were 482-5 with -
Michael Clarke not out 224on Day 1.Michael Clarke got out for 230 on Day 2 and Australia were all-out for 550

Michael Clarke's fifth test ton of the year 2012, his first at the MCG and 22nd of his career, propelled him to 1,595 runs for the year(surpassed the 1,544 runs Ricky Ponting amassed in 2005 ) and fourth on the all-time list behind Mohammad Yousuf (1,788 runs), Viv Richards (1,710) and Graeme Smith (1,656).

Michael Clarke Clarke hit 106 to become Australia's highest Test runscorer in calendar year  2012 with 1595 runs at an average of 106.33.
