In yet another incident of fatal shooting in the US, a 15-year-old girl who performed at President Barack Obama's inauguration last week was shot to death in a park in Chicago on Tuesday.
An unidentified gunman opened fire when Hadiya Pendleton, who was hanging along with her friends under a canopy in Vivian Gordon Harsh Park park on Tuesday Jan 29,2013, just blocks away from their high school.
It is being learnt that Pendelton was shot at her back while trying to escape. She died at hospital.
Two of her other friends are also reported to be injured.
Reports suggest that she was mistakenly shot at and was not the target of the gunman.
