US Siblings Swim for Hours as Ship Wrecked -Sunday April 21,2013


Two American siblings, Dan Suski(30) and Kate Suski(39) are recovering on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia after a weekend fishing trip turned into a harrowing experience.Four people were on the boat -- the two Americans, a captain and one crew member

Their charter boat sank on Sunday April 21,2013 and the pair endured many hours in the water before reaching a beach, a Saint Lucia police detective said.

A Saint Lucia resident found the Suski siblings on the beach and called police.The captain and crew member were found hours later.

The brother and sister are recovering in the eastern Caribbean island of St. Lucia after their ship sank on April 21 during a fishing trip, forcing them to swim almost 14 hours to reach land. Dan Suski, a 30-year-old business owner and information technology expert from San Francisco, had been wrestling a 200-pound marlin in rough seas with help from his sister, Kate Suski, a 39-year-old architect from Seattle
