MS Dhoni Dons CSK Jersey to Celebrate Return of the Super Kings

It is no secret that MS Dhoni has had some of his best times in the Indian Premier League playing for Chennai Super Kings. In fact, even though he plied his trade for Rising Pune Supergiant in the last two years — after the Chennai franchise was suspended for two years by the Lodha panel — Dhoni didn’t waste a moment to bring out the CSK jersey as he welcomed the team back into the IPL fold.

Taking to Instagram, Dhoni posted a photo which showed Dhoni standing outside his house wearing the CSK jersey and his dog rising up to him. Interestingly, he left the captioning to his fans

Dhoni has not had the best of times with Pune. After being dropped as Rising Pune Supergiant skipper going into the auction ahead of this year's edition, he was openly criticised by owner Sanjiv Goenka’s brother Harsh after the team's opening game against Mumbai Indians.

In fact, even Sakshi Dhoni hadn't taken the criticism too nicely and posted a picture wearing a Chennai Super Kings helmet. It is no secret that Dhoni led CSK with aplomb and he is loved by one and all in Chennai.

Earlier, the BCCI welcomed the IPL franchises — Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals — back into the League.

The two franchises have completed the two-year suspension imposed by the Supreme Court appointed Lodha committee and will now participate in next year's Indian Premier League.

Acting president of the BCCI, CK Khanna said: "VIVO IPL will be enriched by the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Both the teams have enjoyed tremendous on-field success and have a mass following.

"The loyal fans will again get to see their favourite teams and stars in action from the upcoming season of the IPL."

The chairman of IPL, Rajeev Shukla added: "It is my privilege to welcome back our franchisees, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, into the 11th edition of the IPL. We have had a strong working relationship with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals and hope that we can continue to build upon the close ties that we have enjoyed in the past, as we move towards the next edition of the league."
