Virat Kohli and India’s spinners  Chahal & Kuldeep  hammered South Africa again on Wednesday in the latest episode of a one-sided ODI series, winning the third game by 124 runs to go 3-0 up with three to play.

Virat Kohli was colossal in making 160 not out from 159 balls — his second century of the series — and led India to 303/6 after South Africa put the tourists in to bat.

Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 160 off 159 balls for the highest individual score by an Indian batsman against South Africa in South Africa, going past Sourav Ganguly’s 127 at Johannesburg in 2001. It was also Kohli’s second-highest ODI score after 183 against Pakistan in 2012.

Virat Kohli also became the second opposition captain to score 150 runs in South Africa (the 1st being Ricky Ponting in 2006 at Johannesburg).

This is also his 54th International century where he will be the outright 5th-most prolific century-maker in international cricket behind Tendulkar (100), Ponting (71), Sangakkara (63) & Kallis (62).

He is currently level with Mahela Jayawardene and Hashim Amla.

In a repeat of the first two games, South Africa couldn’t deal with India spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, who took eight wickets between them at Newlands as the home team was bundled out for 179 in 40 overs.

Virat Kohli now went past Sourav Ganguly again, who has 11 centuries in 142 innings. Kohli now boasts of 12 hundreds as skipper but in only 43 innings

Virat Kohli, with 318 runs in this series so far, now also has the most runs for a visiting batsman in a bilateral ODI series against South Africa in South Africa. Ricky Ponting, with 283 runs in 2001-02, was the previous best.

Shikhar Dhawan 76 Runs and Virat  Kohli added 140 Runs for the 2nd wicket

MS Dhoni Becomes First Indian Wicket-keeper to Effect 400 Dismissals in ODIs

A quadruple century of a different kind. 💛🦁

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap as he became the first Indian wicket-keeper to effect 400 dismissals in ODIs, during the third match between South Africa and India at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

Dhoni effected the stumping off South Africa's stand-in-skipper Aiden Markram and the right-hander became his 400th dismissal in the 50-over format of the game.

Overall, Dhoni is only the fourth wicket-keeper to do so as he is only behind the likes of Kumar Sangakkara, Adam Gilchirt and Mark Boucher in this illustrious list.

So far, (till Markram's dismissal) Dhoni had 294 catches and 106 stumpings to his name. As far as stumpings are concerned, Dhoni is well ahead of the pack as he has effected 106 of the same. Sangakkara is the second of the list with 99.

Meanwhile, in the catching department, Dhoni is still way behind the likes of Sangakkara, Gilchirt and Boucher. However, with his place all but guaranteed till the 2019 World Cup, expect Dhoni to challenge for this top spot as well.

Here is this illustrious list (till Markram's dismissal) -
